Background of the Study
Environmental conservation has become a critical issue in many parts of Nigeria, especially in regions such as Mubi North Local Government Area (LGA) in Adamawa State, where geopolitical factors can significantly influence conservation efforts. Mubi North, which is located in a region vulnerable to both desertification and flooding, faces complex challenges in implementing effective environmental conservation policies (Yusuf & Abdullahi, 2024). Geopolitical factors such as regional political dynamics, resource distribution, and inter-community relations play a major role in shaping environmental policies and conservation strategies. This study aims to investigate the impact of these geopolitical factors on environmental conservation in Mubi North, focusing on how local governance, regional cooperation, and political considerations affect conservation efforts.
